On May 5th, 2023, Mr. Mohamed D. Butt, President of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), and related department heads visited the Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group (HKATG). Mr. Sun FengQuan, Chairman of the Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group, and his management team warmly received them and held friendly talks.
The leaders of the HKPC visited the HKATG's satellite manufacturing center, satellite TT&C center, and satellite data application center to gain in-depth understanding of the Group's satellite smart manufacturing, TT&C, and satellite application technology development. They also had in-depth exchanges with the technical personnel of the HKATG on the development and application of commercial aerospace.
Both sides had in-depth interaction and communication on cooperation in the cultivation of aerospace technology talents, new technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data, precision equipment processing technology, as well as research and development of 3D printing and new materials. Hong Kong's development in aerospace technology is closely related, and through this visit, both sides expressed their hope to further promote Hong Kong's development in the field of aerospace technology.
This visit is part of further cooperation between HKATG and HKPC, and both sides will actively strengthen cooperation to promote the vigorous development of Hong Kong in terms of aerospace technology.
On April 28, Amazon launched the first batch of 27 Kuiper Internet satellites from Cape Canaveral, Florida, U.S.A. These satellites are the first of 3,236 satellites that Amazon plans to send to low Earth orbit for Project Kuiper.
