On 20 November 2023, on behalf of Mr. Sun Fengquan, Chairman & CEO of Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group (HKATG), Mr. Chai Jianguo, Vice President of HKATG, paid a friendly visit to the Brazilian Space Agency, and reported to Mr. Marco Antonio Chamon, the Director General of the Brazilian Space Agency, on the schedules of HKATG to develop the space industry in Brazil.
Mr. Marco Antonio Chamon warmly welcomed the visit of HKATG and looked forward to the close cooperation with HKATG to provide it with all necessary support and assistance to obtain the space industry license for HKATG and establish satellite launch facilities at the Alcantara Launch Center in Brazil.
On April 28, Amazon launched the first batch of 27 Kuiper Internet satellites from Cape Canaveral, Florida, U.S.A. These satellites are the first of 3,236 satellites that Amazon plans to send to low Earth orbit for Project Kuiper.
