From June 5th to 6th, 2024, Mr. Niu Aimin, Vice President of USPACE represented the company at the AGM of the World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC) held in London, United Kingdom. Representatives from various members of WGIC attended this conference.
The conference deliberated on the major achievements of WGIC in 2023, progress and future plans for 2024, annual financial report for the year, and welcomed four new member organizations. It also involved renaming and adjusting the responsibilities of certain professional committees. WGIC plans to hold the next board meeting in Stuttgart, Germany, in September 2024 and the Horizons Events Committee conference in Denver, Colorado, United States, in April 2025.
As a member of the WGIC Board of Directors, Mr. Niu Aimin presented the progress of the Abu Dhabi Space Eco-City, the construction plan by USPACE in the United Arab Emirates, at the conference. This presentation drew widespread attention from the attending representatives. During his visit, Mr. Niu Aimin also visited the concurrent GEO Business International Exhibition and Industry Product/Technology Seminars held at the Excel Exhibition Centre in London. He engaged in discussions and negotiations with exhibitors.
USPACE was invited to join WGIC in 2023. As an important member, USPACE is actively involved in core businesses such as satellite manufacturing, satellite launch and operations, satellite data processing and applications, and the Abu Dhabi Aerospace City project covering an area of 3 million square meters in the United Arab Emirates. These endeavors have attracted the attention of WGIC member organizations, leading to a shift in their strategic focus towards the Middle East region.

The International Space University (ISU) is pleased to announce that the ASPACE full tuition scholarship for the ISU Master of Space Studies, which was announced earlier this year and promoted with the help of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), has been awarded to Mr. Harry Tabi Ndip, an outstanding student from Cameroon. ASPACE Satellite Technology Limited is headquartered in Saudi Arabia and is a subsidiary of USPACE Technology Group Limited which is headquartered in Dubai and Hong Kong.
16 July 2024, USPACE signed a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Brazilian Space Startup Alliance, composed of 13 companies, opening a new chapter for USPACE to develop its business in Brazil and South America.
