16 August 2023, the delegation of Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group Limited (HKATG)/ASPACE, led by Mr Sun FengQuan, Chairman of HKATG/ASPACE, visited the Saudi Space Agency. H.E. Dr Mohammed Saudi Al Tamimi, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Space Agency, and Heads of relevant departments warmly welcomed the visit of HKATG/ASPACE.
Mr Sun FengQuan presented to Mr Tamimi the overall strategy of HKATG and the global layout of ASPACE.
During the meeting, Mr Sun Fengquan and Mr Tamimi also discussed how to establish a closer partnership and deeply exchanged topics of common interests.
This visit has laid the foundation for in-depth cooperation in the space industry and Saudi financial capital between HKATG/ASPACE and the Saudi Space Agency.
On April 28, Amazon launched the first batch of 27 Kuiper Internet satellites from Cape Canaveral, Florida, U.S.A. These satellites are the first of 3,236 satellites that Amazon plans to send to low Earth orbit for Project Kuiper.
