On September 21, 2023, HKATG and EOS held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony. The two parties have consensus on establishing the "HKATG & EOS (China) Innovation Application Center". They will leverage their respective technological advantages and integrate resources to support innovative applications of 3D printing in satellite manufacturing. Top executives, engineers, and experts in the field of 3D printing witnessed the signing ceremony.
ASPACE, the satellite manufacturing centre under the Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group, has the characteristics of intelligent, flexible, and batch production and is also one of the world's largest satellite smart manufacturing factories. As a global leader in industrial additive manufacturing, EOS has been deeply involved in 3D printing for over 30 years, providing 3D printing solutions to many renowned aerospace companies worldwide. This collaboration aims to achieve breakthroughs in satellite structure optimization, lightweight design, complex structure manufacturing, material waste reduction, manufacturing risk reduction, cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and material innovation by sharing resources, knowledge, and technology and introducing advanced additive manufacturing equipment and solutions. It will further accelerate satellite development and research cycles.
The 3D Printing Innovation Application Center will leverage the technical team strengths of both parties to facilitate technology exchange and knowledge sharing, jointly explore the potential of the latest additive manufacturing technology in the satellite manufacturing field, promote technological breakthroughs and innovative development in the satellite manufacturing industry, and grasp the pulse of innovation and change to provide more possibilities and opportunities for satellite manufacturing.
On April 24, 2024, USPACE Technology Group Limited and Strata, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), held their sixth working meeting in Hong Kong. Mr. Sun Fengquan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of USPACE Technology Group Limited, warmly welcomed the delegation from Strata and engaged in friendly discussions. On 19 March 2024, the International Space University (ISU), together with the USPACE Technology Group Limited (USPACE) and its connected ASPACE International Holdings (ASPACE), and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), announced their partnership. Under this partnership, ASPACE is providing scholarships to Master students from underprivileged countries or regions to support ISU's efforts in inclusivity and the democratisation of space education.
